In the NYT somebody wrote an article where ther is a huge blasphemy: – listen carefulli to this silly statement – Aperol spritz is not good!!! I’m sure that Italians, in particular Venicians, will feel outraged by this article! I’m reading so many bad comments about it online!
WHO DARES TO SAY THAT????? Unbelievable!!! If you find a bartender using a bad Prosecco or using the wrong proportions, you should blame the bartender, not try to destroy the drink itself. It’s not my fault if you go to the wrong bar.
A properly done Aperol Spritz is really amazing! It’s clear that the journalist that wrote this article has never had the luck of finding a good Spritz. In my area, in the Prosecco territories, most people know how to prepare it and we can easily find good wine!
Anyway, it’s a judgment I don’t really understand! You can’t like it, but you can’t say it’s not good at all! If it is correctly prepared, it is a drink of the Venician tradition! It’s not a traditional drink made with some bad variations that can make people criticize it!
It’s like saying that hamburger in general is a bad food! Maybe you don’t like it – it’s your personal taste. You can criticise some variations that alter its identity, or the usage of low-quality ingredients, but if it’s made with respect to the recipe you can’t state it’s universally bad!
SHAME ON YOU! DRINK A PROPER SPRITZ AND YOU’LL SEE!!!!
